Dave A. found this 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 convertible in Toledo, OH. Midwest Firebird club member, Dave A., worked long and hard on his 1969 Firebird 400 convertible to get it into the shape it is today. He found his drop top in the backyard of a Toledo, OH residence in 1980. The Pontiac had sat outside for seven years and was suffering from lots of rust damage in the floor panels. Dave still went ahead and purchased the tired ‘bird. In 2005 the lifetime Pontiac enthusiast embarked on a full restoration to bring the musclecar back to showroom condition. The build story was told in the November 2011 edition of the Hemming’s Muscle Machines publication. Click HERE to read the full tale and see a full photo gallery of the process.
